Hello together,
I have now been two weeks and wanted XH A1s today for the first time working with the zoom ring.
Here I was struck by the XH A1s at the "fast" turn the zoom ring makes disturbing noises, such as a control motor.
When I work with the zoom buttons makes my XH A1s no such noise.
Now my questions:
1. Can someone with the XH A1s something and can tell me whether is it normal with the noises in the press of the zoom ring?
2. Or am I just wrong?

The "S" version quickt as quietly as when s.Zoomring Rotate the old XHA1 without S. Habe and because both cameras have just tried. In fact one hears when zooming with the engine noise is not silent.

Yes, synonymous I hear a noise when I turn s.Zoomring of hand. It is no preference whether XHA1 or XHA1s - both cameras to make the same noise, in the same volume. Your camera is not defective.

Because you need not to be sad. Would probably be better anyway for your movies, when the manual zoom ring at all and would destroy the gentle motor zooming only very rarely occurs while filming.
Correct, the manual zooming can be used for a fast focal length setting of the actual recording already synonymous important.

I really do not see this as a problem to:
1. Zoom I basically only with an external control Lanc. From the hand is not really clean, right?
2. Is the noise so quiet, which is likely only when a recording in quiet indoor disturbing.
3. I always use an external stereo microphone, the Rode with a spider next bit of the Camera is decoupled so that the sound should still be quieter.
As written, the noise I have never in my 2 years XHA1 film noticed disturbing practice.

I will not rest left and now I am glad I am the camera in stores in our city have purchased. I was in the store and got my camera after a brief review claims I have my camera will be exchanged promptly.
