I have Vegas Pro 8.0b and wishes of the videos of a Odys Cam in avi format then edit.
The videos are all in normal load, or import and play synonymous, but when I start a file to shorten or into several parts to cut, there is at play (and s.ende rendered synonymous in the file) without the jumps where several frames are skipped or not associated frames replaced.
This occurs always s.anfang the video sequence.
Another problem is that after a restart of Vegas, the videos no longer be detected, ie. the videos are in the timeline just red and will not play, the sound works.
Properties of the videos:
24.000 fps, 640x480x24, x264vfw - H.264/MPEG-4 AVC codec
All this occurs only with the videos of the Odys Cam on, all other work normally.

An AVI file is only a container in which one video of various kind of "pack" can be. Wrapped DV data editing programs can edit properly. Obviously, the video eingapackte your DV camera is not, but something else (namely, "only" 24 images, 640x480x24, x264vfw - H.264/MPEG-4 AVC codec).
Have you ever tried the video with another program, eg: DV-AVI and convert video with the konvretierten tackle the cut?

Moreover, a conversion loss with a quallitäts bring.

If you have 3 hours and raw materials only (!) Want to cut something, you'll probably need a program that is with the specific format and the codec dazugerörigen cope.
If the end result but a playable s.Television PAL DVD should be coming sometime SOWISO the time the material to PAL 25 frames 720x576 umzukonvertieren. (Then you have so or so Quallitätsverlust). That seems to be quallitativ make no difference whether the material or the final product will be changed. The Walk of Rohmaterail would take longer than walking the final product, but now the raw material you can not cut ....

Probably, the h264 stream synonymous nor B-frames indoors. That makes a cutting s.sich impossible, because the frames are often thrown in confusion and not represented correctly (yes, even experienced).
My Recommendation:
Loading the file into VirtualDub and encode to a new AVI codec with the LAGARITH and YV12 color space, and zero frames (in the codec set) new. That should be better.
Make sure you after loading the file into VirtualDub Video rumspringst not immediately but codierst. Otherwise there is again some confusion thrown.
