Hello
I bought me a HG21 and desperately trying to install the camera driver:
1. CD purely and Drivers Installed
2. Camera connected and ran Netzkable play put on film, yet PC Connection and select the PC makes Ding dong
3. it appears in Device Manager, a USB mass storage Canon HG21
4. that's it then, the ZoomBrower of Canon and synonymous Windows Explorer do not recognize the cam.
Also complete uninstall all USB drivers with no result.
Achso everything on Windows 7 64bit and Vista 32-bit test
in Stillimage mode is at least the Explorer
crazy way I see the cam in the Bios if I disable the USB 2.0 support only USB 1.1 and use,
Here is my broken motherboard or what could be the cause,
PS other devices such as USB 2.0 hard drive / printer etc are working properly =??
Get tomorrow's time to buy a PCI USB card and test
Urgently need advice and help where I should look for more

times seen in canon, obs is an updated driver for the camera, win7 has, in my opinion after a usb-problem, of vista I can not talk but I think that it behaves as similar as win7 sat up on vista.
sometimes synonymous helps to change the usb-ports, if possible, directly to the board, so no usb-hub, no front-or bracket-usb connection.
perhaps between punkt 1 driver installation and connection punkt 2 Restart the camera, the manual should be available to software.
