Frage von Walchy:Hello everybody ...
I have of the Contour Shuttle Xpress bought mainly wg. the shuttle, but unfortunately does with Premiere Pro CS3 is not as it should ... As I know, the playback speed of the shuttle position, that is a little slow to the right play, right after the next more quickly and far right then fast-forward.
That works but only slightly:
- Turn the shuttle, I immediately far right is in normal playback speed. I let the wheel then slowly go back, go in slow motion.
- I turn the wheel about 45 degrees (that is, between starting position and the far right) is synonymous in the normal playback speed - then I turn next to the right will quickly vorgespult.
- I turn a little to the right will be played in slow motion. I next turn to the right will be faster.
The problem is the first point - I would like fast-forward and that's with not a single step. Only in mid-position, wait until the movie starts normally, then the far right. So you get no feeling for the shuttle, because a certain position completely different speeds can make a difference. And it is not synonymous in the functioning of the "software shuttles" in Premiere Pro itself - which is (obviously) as described above ...
I know that the Shuttle Xpress can adapt and now I have about 2 hours rumprobiert, but I get the desired behavior is not out there, because as far as I know-in premiere no keyboard shortcuts for each one of the shuttle positions (ie 's Games . speed in X "and the 7 speeds). Something like 'button Hold L + + Autorepeat "on item 7 and so not everything works properly ...
Questions:
- Used someone Shuttle Xpress along with Premiere Pro CS3 and the shuttle works as it should?
- Is there perhaps some adjustment for the Xpress Shuttle, with the shuttle with PPCS3 works as it should?
- Does it perhaps with the Shuttle Pro V2?
- Used someone other external jog shuttle with PPCS3 that works and he can recommend?
So, a lot of text, I'm plenty frustrated, instead of trying for hours cutting the thing properly up and running was thought (of course) it would be plug and play, but hmpf ...
I appreciate all the answers,
Thanks in advance!

Walchy

For Shuttle Express, I can not tell you - I have the Shuttle Pro2 - and works as the first point as you imagine it to you (with CS2 and CS3)

Antwort von Pebowski:
I've now nachgeschaut what the V2 of the software is registered:
Right in 1-5: Right Arrow (of 5 times per second to 45)
Right in 6-7: Shift + Right Arrow (30 times + s.fast s.possible)
Maybe you can help the next yes (if you so synonymous with the Express can register)

I have now quite a while rumprobiert, but really it does not work - that is the factory default setting for Premiere Pro for me is that the "Right in. .." are not occupied ( "Do nothing") and only the transition into something that (with the button "L" and "Shift + L"). With your settings gehts Although theoretically, in practice it is extremely jerky. Fast forward is different - just as the Premiere Pro software shuttle stop ...
Thanks again for your help, I fear, as long as there are no buttons, the individual positions of the shuttle directly, there is not a solution ...

Antwort von Pebowski:
When I turn the Transitions are not used.
But you're right: as smooth as with the Shuttle software is not, because there was no real keys to do so.
