Frage von DJStorm:Hello!
A friend needed a study for a video application. The source material is in 16:9 format. If you cut and has converted it but in 4:3 format out. What makes them wrong?
Had great if someone could help. What settings should you make?

Hard to say. If it is distorted 4:3 (anamorphic), it is a problem, not least the player (QT, VLC, etc.). Now it depends on what medium the film will be stored. Is it a DVD, then do not mind if the Mpeg2 not geflaggt is simply in DVD Studio Pro for the video track in a tick "16:9" make.
For's Web, or for the calculator, I recommend H.264 directly from the timeline. The film with square pixels in the aspect ratio of 16:9 (Quicktime export option size, dimensions in pixels) can be calculated, then there is not synonymous letterbox bars.
