I have a few days ago, a Canon HV30 and wanted to increase after a few test clips now captured the entire via firewire to the PC bring. Now the Camera but simply not recognized by the calculator. Gegoogelt and I've searched various forums ... apparently I'm probably not the only one with the problem - with the small but subtle difference is that the camera is still easily detected and in Sony Vegas, I was able to capture. I have the whole tested S.2 computers - each with 2 different Firewire cables. Strangely was S.2. Calculator Cam of the front nothing no longer recognized ... it just nothing happens nothing when I connect the cam. HDMI - Connection goes out without problems and shows me pictures s.meinem perfect LCD TV. Only the DV / Firewire connection refused his service. I've complied a few tips in this menu and the synonymous and converted times HDVSplit tried - unfortunately without success. Canon support needed once again a good week on the questions to answer ... Has any one yet but an idea, any advice or roughly the same experience? Suggestions? I'm very grateful for any tip, because I absolutely do not know next and with the idea of playing the Camera desperately previously submitted or the calculator again to format.

My Canon MVX20i became synonymous few weeks ago suddenly s.keinem PC detected. I make it short: Improper handling s.PC probably got the camera a short Stomschlag the camera damaged. I got the camera out to Canon dealer brought to Hamburg (Can not recommend it directly to Canon to send, it takes at least 1-2 months) and after the cost estimate was 230euro, I have my Cam nciht repaired, it is worth nciht more for the old Cam, save now on the HF100, no desire on the problems with the tapes.

That can not be true ... how can you sowas "mishandle"? Especially something I have never experienced ... Canon XL1, XM1, XH A1, SonyFX1 ... everywhere yet never had problems with any Firewire ports ...

As with the looks on capturing the HDMI output from? Instead of the repair costs for something, but would rather a Blackmagic card worth it? Is there similar problems? I think the quality is probably almost identical.

Canon's support has now responded and agrees with me that it would s.meiner software. Very, very helpful and precise answer - wait for it but something like 2-3 days. Meanwhile, I have from other forums are able to find out that this "problem" happy times synonymous with other products of Canon can occur ... so has been synonymous already taken XH-A1. Workaround is to provide a surge line, which I probably like tomorrow morning will be ordered. My HV30 is then first s.den mail returns and is again acquired.
