Frage von DVWizzard:My problem:
Is it true that professional MiniDV cassettes, if they with
a professional camera has been recorded, in a normal
MiniDVCam is not playable because this the "special"
can not handle professional signal?
Or does anyone here untie me a bear?
Thanks for an answer

Hello,
I currently have three standards known to be able to record on MiniDV tape: DV, DVCAM and HDV.
DV is the "ordinary MiniDV, which records and reproduces every consumer camcorder.
DVCAM is a professional version of DV (uswith wider tracks and locked audio). This format is only a few of consumer DV camcorders are reproduced, although the data are virtually identical (this works for capturing DVCAM as well as in DV). For this format, there are specific synonymous DVCAM tapes, which, however, look exactly like DV tapes. And DVCAM tapes in DV mode and can be recorded, enabling consumer camcorders is synonymous to play this.
HDV is again a completely different format: MPEG2. For playback of HDV recorded MiniDV tape is an HDV camcorder or recorder is necessary.
