am looking for a HD camcorder.

Haunts me since the question: What cuts are better:
MPEG2 or AVCHD?
MPEG2 camcorder, there are not so often!
What do you think of the SonyHDR-SR12E or HDR-SR8E?

MPEG2 / HDV is less compressed, so this format can be easily cut.
With AVCHD is not (yet) the case. For this you need a very powerful computer and have a look exactly what software can handle it.
