Hello,
for "slightly choppy and a little too pale," I would have a different theory: Select s.der VX2100 times a very short exposure time (shutter speed).
Despite ND filter off sunlight and thus opens the aperture and the signal gain ranges up to some s.den maximum value (+18 dB). The resulting images are too pale in color, and leave due to lack of motion blur one jerky impression.
