Although VX is a very good camera, you can not compare the quality with today's HD equipment. I own a Canon XM beitz one which is very good compare with the Vx 1000, but the picture quality between this camera and the JVC GY MM 100 (which I own and which receives synonymous in HD) are worlds apart!
