Hi,
recently voted against a used Canon HV 20 purchased and put into operation. It only works once everything pretty well except for the fact that I can not tell viewfinders, which means that there is black. The LCD display works well as I could absorb everything and synonymous further use. I close the screen as described and will absorb through the viewfinders, so it remains open, dark synonymous Lens.
About a hint or reference I would be delighted.

Perhaps a case for the service. Maybe take the screen when closing the contact is not what the system says: "Now please turn to the Viewfinder."
Perhaps that is synonymous only a ribbon cable, somewhere. Perhaps the display is defective.
Either dismantle itself and look, or the service given.
