Hi, I have a few questions on the Canon XH-A1, or SonyEX1.
I own the Canon XH-A1 does not itself, but they will in the summer for a project to borrow ...
I would probably have a DVD or 720p movie; reaches you in 16:9 - DV Project downconvertetem with HDV material a better result than with 16:9 DV (sharpness, etc.)?
Is a quality lossless Downconvertieren possible, simply by getting the HDV to a DVD project to introduce and then render (Vegas 7 / Magix Video Pro X)?
What is the 25p mode of the XH-A1 (the HV20 is comparatively so as to be choppy,) jm has experience with it (synonymous terms in comparison to 50i)?
To generally the best results with the XH-A1 to achieve, I'm s.besten proboscis-3dB preset?
I have downloaded the presets, but do not know exactly what the preset-3dB, or whatever is appropriate for what has so jm ne Ahnung (PRESET01.CPF, PRESET02.CPF, PRESET03.CPF and PRESET04.CPF)?

Possibly. Project will be a shared SonyEX1. Can I use the EX1 with the recorded 1080i/p/720p. MXF clips because of their codecs (Long-GOP) problemslos in Vegas or introduce Magix (Vegas 7, so an XD-CAM Explorer) or do I need the included software coding?
Can the EX1 material problems with the mixing of the A1?

Jain. DV should not be considered. HDV can be directly on a DVD in Pal-size export Mpeg2 (synonymous of the Sony XDCAM) is yes then both. Converting to DV is more lossy. No IR.

Without the ability to have the suitability of the 25F mode, based on one's own camera work and the support of your software, test, my advice is to 50i. It would be useless here to give general recommendations. If just depends on.

Yes. My personal taste has led me, the saturation a little to increase (Manual). Which CP ... - No preset is, you see, if you saw it on the menu on the display dial, then forget it "-3dB".

For software, I can say nothing, but a Project 720, he would be ideal in order to mix the recordings and as a master for a further export to DVD.

@ Magnus,
both A1 and EX1 cameras draw in Mpeg2 Long GOP.
The Vegas XDCAM Explorer works only with XDCAM (1440x1080 4:2:2). The format of the EX1 XDCAM EX reads and is a FullHD format 1920x1080 but with lower Farbsampling 4:2:0! So the explorer in Vegas, you can forget it.
By SonyClipbrowser, now in version 2.5, you can quickly and easily convert MXF. Thus in Vegas you can edit the clips. Magix XPRO or prox? may be synonymous MXF editing.

Can I do with Magix Video Pro X is definitely the native mxf.-EX1 edit the files?
Is the SonyClip browser with the EX1 supplied conversion software?
!’ I have a few-EX1 MXF Test Clips of Wolfgang's Blog (June 2008) and was able to download it in Vegas 7 to import, whether these are supposedly native clips. Does this mean now that I have with Vegas but now, without further EX1 material can be cut?
If I were a 16:9 - IT Project for the purpose of DVD-compatible output and footage of the A1 (HDV) and the EX1 (1080/720/25p/50p) combine will render I s.besten first 720/25p Project, which I then added for the DVD in PAL SD downconvertiere?
(Would a 720p-25F Project recordings with the A1 is not better (instead of 50i), or makes no difference?)

720p, because the A1 HDV Cam as the 1080p the EX do not reach, and so, with reserves of light, take both. Canon's 25F is a format that not all of NLEs support. Therefore, if you can not test ...
Also deinterlaced 1080i still has the quality of reserves in 720p (even for lala 720 50 p), so do not worry.

Only MXF. For Vegas and co. the MPEG2 files from the EX1 the MPEG4 container are separated. The clips, which Wolfgang on his site offers are MXF or m2t clips.

Am I just in a recent film made with Vegas 8th The EX1 material was 25p in 1080 and XHA1 in 1080 25i rotated. On Bluray 1920x1080 25i it looks on the Flat FullHD good.
