Hello,
I have the HDC-SD1EG in the eye and am about to get me this.
Unfortunately, I do not have the fastest Calculator (2.8 GHz, 512MB) and therefore do not know if I really get the camcorder to be. It is important for me that I have the movies on my calculator can draw, cut short together on DVD and then burn. I want this DVD synonymous with family or friends to play. The fact that it comes to quality losses, I know.
The raw data, I would be archived again, so I can at a later date could edit again.
So and now my question, does it now? Or am I better to forgo AVCHD?

I would leave it, your data are just for an AVCHD Anschauen s.PC - reasonably smooth.
The supplied software can shorten, if you can see - then ok.
At right is your DV editing system, but definitely too slow.
In addition, there are few viable / affordable AVCHD Programs (Pinnacle 11 + and the current of Ulead.)

I can remember when I my first Digicam 1997 fetched have gabs Calculator not actually synonymous with Firewire, it was all new territory synonymous. Today and for a long time, it is no problem at the data on the PC to consider.
I am happy synonymous but if you convince me of the AVCHD totally advises against.

If thou hast found a program, what your AVCHD halfway cut reliably, then the already heavily compressed signal so again converted into MPEG2, so it is with standards on a DVD land. What still remains s.Qualität, like I did not imagine.

Since April, I have a HDC-SD1EG. After a long search and testing (Nero 7 demo and Ulead Video Studio 11 demo handle AVCHD not satisfactory, with the TV analog capture card are no good results) I have only a few days ago Pinnacle Studio 11 pros increased and equal to the update version 11.1 installed.
The experiences have been positive: I can easily upload videos AVCHD and play. S.PC The video quality is very good. Also converting and burning to standard DVD video works well. The quality of the DVD video is that of a normal DVD purchase is for me that is okay. The editing features I have not tried.
As for the PC hardware is concerned, synonymous, I have a new PC with Vista Home Premium and with 22 inches wide-screen increased. The PC is just the minimum requirements, which Pinnacle s.Studio 11 for AVCHD provides:
- Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or higher required for AVCHD editing required
- RAM: 1.5 GB required for AVCHD (2 GB on Windows Vista)
- Graphics card: 256 MB for HD and AVCHD editing requires
Your calculator will therefore not suffice. I think that other synonymous AVCHD editing programs according to high standards s.die make hardware.
For me it was the purchase of the HDC-SD1EG clear that I have a new PC synonymous growth needs. Overall, I am with the HDC-SD1EG very satisfied.

I see just my PC Arbeitsnot shows no preference whether Sony or Pana AVCHD material on a 3 Ghz with 512 MB graphics card, unfortunately onboard Map
(pulls again from memory from memory) have serious weaknesses. Sony Is zb at 2,8 Ghz. But it is completely on your PC other key data.
Use your existing computer is up to one Anschauen possible, while cutting your calculator is definitely repeatedly smearing.
The DVD burn was described several times here, if you burn a normal DVD - make the most of them unfortunately (MPEG 2 PAL 576i) - you fall back to normal very good quality. A good DVD player, the DVD just burned normal inflate material (eg any SonyDVD Recorder GX 350, VX 450, HX 650,750,950, HXD 1070) - but does not s.jedem LCD, plasma, Rückprotechnikfernseher good
BlueRay player you can AVCHD data (files M2Ts) directly read endweder on a normal DVD or BD. You stay so high - but unfortunately can & want to make something few users.
Zb with the outstanding new Überflieger SonyBDP S 1 (even 24 P cinema playback with compatible TV) or Panasonic DMP BD 10th Playstation 3 will go so synonymous with Pana solls material but s.and to problems (I have unfortunately not yet tested)
Wolfgang (video forum) had the Kiss player above, the MPS Transport Streams can read, it seems to have disappeared from the market, however.
So this leaves only one direct s.HD watching TV or s.PC to the true glory to enjoy, or a recorder of M2ts files can be read immediately.
