Upgrade my grad Calculator with HDDs on and am looking for a raid.
I have an 8 - channel 3ware 9550sx Raidkarte purchased multiple RAID configurations allowed.
In addition, there were 8 x Seagate Barracuda 7200U HDDs with 250 GB each.
I have all the hard disk with 2 4-fold Sata extenders in an external chassis with backplanes installed because I do not room for 8 more hard disks in my cabinet voted.
Now to the point. What Raidkonfiguration emfehlt her? I cut mostly DVCPro HD (Avid) and a lot of work with uncompressed frame sequences (dpx and Tiff) for graphics, compositing and color correction geschichten.
Had to 8 harddisks S.2 gestripet Raid 5 with 4 each hard thought - So 50th Raid Has somebody experience with?

Has somebody experience with? Not me, but maybe someone logs in after Christmas, when the people were loud unconsciousness ... uh, I mean of course contemplativeness reflection to come back? ;-)
