What I see as s.PC whether Firewire is enabled? For WinXP g
EHT so: Start> with the right on "My Computer" click> Manage> Device Manager> then look for the contact, "IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers"
Or can do, if internal is anyway not be disabled? However, it can still be disabled, and both in so-called BIOS as synonymous in the above Device Manager. In the event of a disabling in the BIOS, the IEEE 1394-entry in Device Manager no longer appear.

Juhu, my hero!
Thank you for your reply!
In the event of a disabling in the BIOS, the IEEE 1394-entry in Device Manager no longer appear. OK that explains some of course! IEEE 1394 is not shown to me. No wonder that my camcorder is not recognized.
How can I now activate it? I wonder just how disabled ichs have if I just to not even knowing where to find ichs.
My first thought was grad. I did well but no Firewire port haha. So to really be on the safe side: These are Firewire jacks, right?

The Picture makes me aback, however: This is a separate installation card, which only has Firewire Connections, right? When was built, it should be recognized without any further effort and have been involved.

If so nothing is displayed, it might be synonymous, that the calculator did not know of its enlargement. Switch from the PC times, pull the card from the PCI slot, put it back on and run the calculator again. Often the help already, such as when a loose connection existed.
If you do not forward, set the times firewire card to another PCI slot. Sometimes it is synonymous with hardware "misunderstandings" that then with such a conversion can resolve.

2. Wie kann ich einen anderen Steckplatz öffnen?
3. Wie krieg ich die Karte dann in den freien Steckplatz?
Edit from Mod: Too big to Picture Link replaced.

Once again another question first:
Have you ever in the Device Manager on the cross next to "Network" button to expand the list to open? Because there are (if any) firewire card, and not at the top level. I ask only because from your screenshot is not clear and it is very unusual is that a card inserted is not shown.
Greetings from the other Mark (Markus73)

1. How do I remove the card from the slot? I'm too cowardly to simply as wild drauf los to potter. Not that what is broken.
Calculator on the page to open (if you're in front of the rear ports, it is the right page). Then the screw solve the firewire card s.Gehäuse fixed. Finally the card straight out of the slot pull.
2. How can I open another slot?
First look at the open PC, whether another slot is free. Not always are cutouts behind pre s.der case back synonymous available slots on the inside.
3. How do I map it into the free slot?
Firewire card straight up to the slot and press firmly, without the card to jam. No use force if it does not immediately work! Lieber again the correct seat check, ie whether synonymous card slot on the right is.
At the end of the screw between the card and back again eindrehen housing.
stop ... or ask someone who knows something with it. ;-)

The first entry tells me nothing, and the second is your network card.
Does not look as if the Firewire card detected.
