Slasher love, I'm new here. I have a EX1Hi with a bunch of accessories, because of my interest s.Vogel recordings I appreciate the interchangeable lenses. The last three years I have however not used (due to overloading of professional and private). Last week, I re-fetched - they strike. The Canon-contract workshop in Vienna has no more spare parts. Weiss someone holding the device with the well-know? Are there any other Canon model, in which I can continue Lenses?

So after a short search on the net I found the following info
This was a speculation about 5 + years ago when the XL1 was in the wings, but not announcd shipping. To make a long story shirt, the VL lens is not suitable for the XL1 DV in - it was designed to provide Hi8 resolution (~ 420 lines) on the 1 / 2 "CCD of the L1/L2 seies camcorder. That would net to about 330 lines on the 1 / 3 "CCD of the XL1 series. And the minimum 8mm focal length would not be s.wide s.the XL1 standard lens.
Also in the search for adapters I got no hits.
Perhaps but knows, for example. Bernd as a trick 17 or an adapter - which I doubt synonymous but after what I now have read.
Say you have a look at Canon Germany called? Maybe even have the spare parts?

Yes there is the "successor" XL series of Canon. The new SonyPMW EX3 has an interchangeable lens.
The price range of covers here (used to new) ca.1000 - 10 000 euros.
I myself currently own an XL1S. It is easy to use for "animal pictures" absolutely top, in combination with adapter and EF L IS lenses will tele you to the monster gun.

By coincidence (search for EX1Hi eBay), I am on a repair option rise. The settlement was a little slow, and responses to emails synonymous sometimes came with delay, but the camera works again (with audio board).

I think it's always gratifying when it succeeds (ie the people who create it), this vintage again to reactivate (the sense that times out before).
Have fun still synonymous with the unit and thank you for pointing out the "restaurateur". Can I ask what the "rescue operation" ultimately has cost?

Gern - 300 euros plus the outward and return costs. KV 30 euros (only if not repairable or repair is too expensive).
Just for safety's sake - with Mr. bin Maeyer neither related nor verschwägert yet known, only a half-satisfied customer!
And because many of the accessories I wanted it for some time can use ...
