Hi All,
I'm already through half the internet rummaging udn different forums but have not yet found.
The following problem: I want to use an old laptop (IBM Thinkpad 600) with DVD drive as a music and DVD player. For this I needed ne PCMCIA or USB card to connect the laptop with the Fersehen too. Since the laptop does not have a TV in any of OUt From.
Does anyone know a simple USB or PCMCIA card that I can use it? My TV has SCART input.

So I myself have problems with a more recent Thinkpad to enjoy s.Television DVDs. The drive is too loud, the video output does not provide the quality that I would have liked.
My Conclusion is really: If DVD s.Laptop, then synonymous with edition s.LCD. More than information, and in between time as a medium for bridging the movie experience.
Once upon a time I had a VGA-to-video converter. That was a Zigarrenkistengroße solution with remote control - of Conrad, I think. Made me not entirely convinced. Meanwhile, my current Thinkpad can output video signals. But when I think probably something for presentations.
As SD is such a thing could subsist for PDAs. Then you have the appropriate SD slot, but be fully implemented, not only as FDateisystem. Questionable whether these PCMCIA cards do this.

Yes, the problem with SCART, is really not care:)
So you can at any time of RCA to Scart and the other way, or of SVideo (or whatever the means) to RCA and then next ...

a PC with cheapest possible means zweckzuentfremden is always a thing with all sorts of hooks and lots of "potential experience".
Therefore, my tip is also the separate DVD player. Vollbeschaltetes this purpose, a Scart cable for ¬ 3.95 (Vivanco, there's now available in transparent blue in the Conrad store in Frankfurt). ;-)
