I do not want to confuse you, but what you plan should rather have to do something with AV input (if XM1 of support, which I do not know). I wonder why the message your cam.
On my old MVX2i, which only serves as a converter, you must turn the AV-in menu.
But since you already have scoured the forums, you'll probably already know that.
Perhaps it is in the videotape originals with copy protection?

Schleich Hello Michel,
- The only one who took pity on me!
No, the VHS tapes are the rolling of movies without any copy protection.
I now synonymous with VCR and Camera Scart + RCA connected - of Cam on the VCR works, but not vice versa - again message "check DV input", well IT!
AV-in, I'm not in there in the camera menu on the remote control only for insert editing, but then opens up garnix.
It can not be true that a mere digicam, the Digimaterial from the PC starts, does not take material from the analog VCR, or do you? I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong, I ask myself what??
Help!

Antwort von Schleichmichel:
As I said, I do not know the XM1.
Another possibility would be that you are receiving the XM1 with the VCR did not attempt to fashion, but in the Camera mode.
Otherwise, I can not help, unfortunately ...

Hello and Help!
My question is actually already in the title - can it?
Had with Scart and RCA and S-VHS cable connected - nothing about.
Am with Canon in VCR mode and VHS tape is not copy protected.
According to plow through the manual, I note that there is always only a question of "Überspielbetrieb on Digigeräte" and not whether she takes Analogmaterial synonymous. And also that when you press REC and it's not a DV cable is connected, the message "Check the DV-input" is - quite true, but what am I to connect DV cable, but if I want to dub via the aforementioned cable?
Can someone help me please? Thank you!
