Frage von Mink:
Hello,
So I discovered the XHA1 which can be used as an A / D converter.
I would now like to back up my old SVHS tapes.
The quality which I received in the first experiments in the computer looks pretty bad out of .... worse than the quality / SVHS that I have in mind .... is now the memory or is it the settings?
What is the output format .... DV-PAL?
When logging in and then recording the recording settings ... DV-PAL 48kHz?
Else should be something?
Antwort von hoffo:

VHS Qualitität be assessed on a television and not on a computer monitor.
DV-PAL is the codec of choice for SD recordings.
Antwort von Mink:

The output synonymous as DV PAL 48kHz? Right?
Antwort von hoffo:

Yes.

The problem is that you have the AD conversion with only composite can convert (and no S-video) for the XHA1 does not have S-Video jack.
When is it not (the quality, but just worse) you know of the cassette.

Ah, there Xandix has probably reached the breaking point ....
