We still have some SVHS and VHS tapes, which we gladly would like to receive. Unfortunately the recorder broke and associated scrapped.
Which combinations (DVD-VHS) exists, which can play SVHS synonymous?
Where there is SVHS recorder (except used on ebay)?
I have neither one nor the other can find ...
Maybe someone here has a tip?

on this topic, there are many contributions. @ FritzK: Our local Promarkt (and the other major electronics markets) has no more SVHS devices. Which JVC model was that?
@ JMS: I'm not the archiving on the PC, just about dubbing on a current media. External company would be too expensive to me.
The threads I had read to me, I could only none of the devices in the program of Panasonic, JVC, etc, or of merchants more.
Hence the question: Who is still SVHS Recorder ago, and who has what stock?

who has what stock? I can understand a little-used Panasonic equipment to offer. Thought it was actually a player for their own videos. But shortly after the acquisition, the production of their own DVDs so cheap that I'm changed. The new device has about 650 DM tasted. Details in due course, I could (am currently in the office). I live in southern Lower Saxony. If interested, please give sound. price is negotiable.

As can be seen from the above contributions removed, it is really very very difficult even to "good" SVHS devices to come ... For Ebay tümmelt is too much stuff a la "Hardly used, works great, but even then what is wrong.
I would really interest s.deiner "brand new" SVHS VTR. Of course when you are finished with the digitizing of your tapes ... How many tapes you will because it Digitizer? But if the device is entirely new, it still can not wear occur, right? What are the technical specifications of the device? TBC, noise reduction, Color? Warranty still on it?

I wanted to find some Video200 and VHS tapes (some 25 years old) to DVD.
After 2 ribbons (each with 4 hours of material), I had the mouth full and have the rest, where a service provider.
The tapes gave me the uncompressed after MinDV secured.
I have a lossless copy (backup) and the possibility of the material s.Calculator yet to edit.

A combi device SVHS / DVD offers only average quality. As far as I know, there are no combinations comprising SVHS <-> DVD. In the case of the WideScreen said device is a stand-alone-(professional?)-Device, which is probably considerably better quality is achieved, as a consumer device

The "effort" at a digitization is fully aware of me, it is not the first time that I've digitized analog media. Moreover, the term "effort" relative, so the tape runs from alone of the necessary settings for best playback you have already before digitization defined. A Canopus ADVC-300-analog-digital converters, I have already, I also synonymous as a device for monitoring serves preview ... Ebay products are just as mentioned above, always so ne thing. Although it is fair to "use" it, but one never knows how often the devices now in use and if so, perhaps even all the parts are worn.
