Frage von dvwga:Hello!
Hope I'm here with the question correctly. I wanted to know if I can connect a digital satellite receiver s.den Canopus ADVC300, so I would have saved so to speak, the TV card. Has someone already done time and try to guess if it works?
Thanks
Gruss

Hi Mark,
Your satellite receiver has an output for an analog AV signal (composite or Y / C and audio)? In this case, you can use the ADVC-300 as a link between the receiver and computer.

This will be working, but it's still an analog circuit, and so far not optimal.
A DVB-S card enables full digital recording and has (with good software) a lot of practical advantages, the automatic recording (data transfer from EPG, etc.). So if you want to shoot more often what is a DVB-S card (eg Technisat SkyStar II) the better choice. A good software is to DVBViewer.
