I have now read the Sennheiser MKE 400 and the stereo VideoMic Rode Microphones are very good. So yes, I know of Sennheiser headphones and her needs are saying s.diese top of the quality but the Rode, I can not judge.
This is often well over the Rode but synonymous talk about the Sennheiser, only poses the question would be suitable for my Cam?
I have a Canon HV 30 and have often heard that this has a bad microphone, or an external one should use.

Both microphones are well suited to yours. It depends on the use. The MKE 400 is a highly sensitive mono-directional mic, the Rode Stereo Videomic significantly bigger, heavy Steromikrofon with excellent sound. I use both.

For voice recording Stereo is often superfluous. Good directivity (with noise suppression side) you can reach only with a highly targeted mono. When recorded music is a stereo microphone announced.
