Frage von dr recharge:Hi folks!
'm With my DVD recorder a few of my old VHS tapes digitized, and would now bring to AVI format, since it's space-saving ended. And as VHS cassettes are indeed the best quality not synonymous, ranging from, and then I get more on a DVD.
I have a very old tool called DAVIDEO4, but which requires converting ziemilch long.
Hence my question: Does anyone know a good alternative that lets me convert DVD's to DIVX files and is still somewhat synonymous fast?
Furthermore, I have a video file to a buddy in a 16:9 DV rotated ner with which he mistakenly 4:3 but ripping into an AVI. The whole is then rolled. He has no lust to convert the entire Again, since his re-Calculator is super lame. Therefore, he asked me whether we can not change the aspect ratio in nachinein.
I found the tool MPEG 4 MODIFIER what gives you the opportunity though, so change the file without re konevrtieren (Re-write the file in under 1 minute). But somehow it does not want to accept all my Änderunegn. It almost seems as though the changes from the ASPECT RATIO simply ignored.
Had already tasted neuzukonvertieren synonymous for him with the whole Virtual Dub again, but the sound is then always asynchronous (why always synonymous, somehow I've EVER had this problem with Virtual Dub).
Can someone help me? 'd Be happy ANIMAL.
Until then

To your main question, I can not answer, but AVI is definitely not to save space, unless you mean DivX AVI.
I would convert with VirtualDub. But you yourself said that you have problems with the sound. Here you have to help someone else. Since I do not know me from.

Yes, I habs to do so prior to a DIVX Avi. So find a program that lets me make a DVD to DIVX AVI. Since my player stop synonymous DIVX Avi controlled, it would be the most space-saving option.
Antwort von Gast1:
If there is DivX Dr. DivX or the encoder 6 (fast, good, relatively inexpensive). Canopus ProCoder (very good, slow, free) can also encode to DivX 5th
The aspect ratio you can only change through re-encode. Ifs into "true" 4:3 has been converted, with no bar at the bottom and top, what is missing from the original picture and the synonymous comes through Reencode not back. And of ribbed stuff I would keep away.
