Hello,

It is possible SonyHDR-Z1 from your PC remotely. So the main REC and zoom. Is there a program that it can? What would you then still need for hardware, ie you need an intermediate circuit between PC and Camera? Or you can directly from the PC with an appropriate cable s.die Camera?

yes, a PC is the planned target. A separate remote control would only be asked if you then still with the PC and can connect the camera functions but then on the PC controls.

As an old Sony fan Saying it only reluctantly, but with the Canon creates the DV Messenger software with many of his camcorder. From Sonykenn I unfortunately nothing comparable, apart of the special cameras such as the EVI-D31, which are designed to use remotely. And even that is reliable on its own served as a control unit via a PC.
