Is the HC90 worse than the picture in the HC96?
Are there any other significant differences between the two?

The differences between the two you can very nicely on the Sony website listed, and you'll find with the search in the forum here a whole series of discussions with both cameras. For more information about the current model, there is now synonymous www.hc96.de.

maybe yes of Sony at all, no new high-quality "standard size model" more on the market and Sonybringt "only" the new HD models on the market?
Then would be the highest HC 47 The Standard-size models, but much weaker than the HC 96, I am happy but still one of the last 96 HC erwischt to have.
