I would start with the manuals of both download, because that sometimes you get a very good impression of what a camera can, what is not - and how they can. If it is possible to do both synonymous with a few test shots for you under realistic lighting conditions.
Since I myself have a very similar Sharp had lying around, I would rather own Sony ;-), but it can of course be that the same or Sonydie other's weaknesses. What disturbed me s.meiner Sharp has the strong decline in image quality in Lowlight area and the lack of aperture mode, but also the lack of manual aperture control (to what Sharp calls it, is unfortunately only an automatic correction of exposure and thus often useless).
