1. Look closely at what you have to get warranty.
2. Consider the price comparison the German Inch and the import VAT. To slip a 800-euro-SR7 quickly on the 1000-euro barrier and is ultimately more expensive than in Germany with the original Sony warranty purchased.

The Traveler Warranty applies - Sony as far as I understand it - only if someone the camera in his residence country. For U.S. citizen, then, if purchased in U.S..
