Frage von Gope:Hi,
now have the HDR-HC3 of Sonyein few weeks ago and would now like the movies that I recorded in HDV format to play on my PC.
Unfortunately, my PC (Windows XP detects) the camera in HDV mode (not iLink converter to "OFF")
I Turn on the DV mode (iLink converter to HDV -> DV) it is immediately recognized.
Thus, I would be in worse quality of the films play on my PC and not in HDV or? And I would not, of course.
Has anyone a tip?
Ciao
Gordon

Hello Gordon,
well I know my way is not synonymous with HDV, but as far as I've picked up so far:
Unfortunately, my PC (Windows XP detects) the camera in HDV mode (not iLink converter to "OFF") That can not work because HDV is not covered by the Universal OHCI driver. Your camcorder in this mode requires a different Drivers.
Thus, I would be in worse quality of the films play on my PC and not in HDV or? That is correct. In DV mode, the camcorder is recognized by the OHCI Drivers and supported, but the data which are transferred to the PC, are just synonymous DV only - and not HDV resolution.

Moin,
what XP SP1 or SP2 say?
When she HDV Cam AV / C subunit detected on XP SP2
Under SP1, it can go, if you once you connect the device manager on the yellow question mark and then click on manuel SONY D_VHS tape devices / AV / C Subunit chooses.
Be sure to have the Cam is really at HDV.
At least, that with the FX-1 with SP1, so it went.

When she HDV Cam AV / C subunit detected on XP SP2 Before you install SP2, it is better to post-install only the required drivers.
Why?
1. Betriebssystem Windows XP with SP2Siehe synonymous:
And therefore I have to this day - despite HDV - only SP1
Antwort von Gope:
Many thanks for your tips. I still have SP1 and will try once first without SP2.
That with the Drivers, I have not quite understood, I think.
If it is then s.Drivers the camcorder but would Sonyeinen make such available to you?
Or is it just s.Drivers system?
