Frage von SammyGray:Hi!
Now if the Sony250P the shoulder version of the 170s or the 150s?
Thanks .. Lg Sammy
Antwort von PowerMac:
You can not say that. PD 170 and PD 150 are almost equal.
The DSR-250P is based on None of the two. At best, the chip should be the same.

Hello,
this statement I would not stand for that. Comparing the technical specifications - and the times at which, the cameras came on the market - it soon becomes clear that the DSR250, in principle, quite the shoulder version of the PD150 is (same optics, same chips, etc.). , The PD170, so to speak, however, is the later "evolutionary model" of the PD150 with a number of smaller improvements (including still) somewhat higher sensitivity to light. The DSR250 my knowledge, remained unchanged, ie on the technical state of the PD150 - which indeed is truly not the worst.

To my knowledge, this is not true. The DSR-200P (!) Has a certain affinity for PD150 (age) data. The DSR-250P is something completely different! Here is the context of each m. M. to more constructed, it true. At best, the chips (1 / 3 ") PD 150/170, 200P and 250P in common. That's all. Schaut euch mal, the 200P and the 250P and have compared.

Of course one can argue long about the details, but the very fact that PD150 and DSR250 in the section "Technical data" in the Sony documentation was often listed together, makes me suspect that they are pretty similar - except of course of the design differences, such as viewfinder, or drive.
Now those identified above, older DSR-200 DVCAM way, is the version of the VX9000, which was in turn the shoulder version of the legendary VX1000. Using the same components in handheld and shoulder cameras at a generation has a long tradition Sonyalso.
