Hello Gordon,
I'd bet on reproduces analog camcorder as a cause of image disturbance. I know the problem, as I myself often copying old video tapes to digital media. - As a regular cleaning of the drive and especially the head drum is necessary.

Hmmm, if it was not s.einem dirty video head? I usually put one synonymous D8 camcorder for capturing analog Video8 and Hi8 tapes-one and when the camcorder tape does not like, I differ from a Hi8 recorder with subsequent A / D conversion.
