Frage von hoerspielwerkstatt:Hello,
I would like for my recording studio (not commercial) shoot some video clips.
For me, it is particularly important that the clips sound very good to give.
My Camera: SonyVX 1000E
My editing program Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0
Location:
Studio
Scene Building:
I sit on a chair in about 2.5 meters in front of a self-built teleprompter behind the camera is - ie, the Optics and the internal microphone will be 45 ° of the disc hidden.
Experiments have shown:
1. Internal camera microphone
Stereo microphone.
Input sensitivity: Volume of 7.5 (control of 0 - 12)
display in the editing program: at normal voice - slightly below 0 dB
display in the editing program: pauses in speech and in silence: about - 50 dB
The bar remains s.unteren edge of the canal about 1-2 mm visible.
It is a very quiet but audible hum on the master.
My first question s.andere VX1000 User: is this normal?
2. External Microphone MKE 400
Mono
Connection via jack cable. Unfortunately, the VX1000 does not symmetrical input.
Location: next to the Tripod Tele Prompter, clear view of the speaker.
Microphone setting: without windscreens, linear frequency response (on, without a low-cut filter), normal sensitivity (- vol) is set.
Display s.der Camera: with silence still 3-4 bars.
Input sensitivity of the camera to 5.5 reduced to silence no bars visible.
display in the editing program: channel display remains silent about are at -40 dB.
A quiet but significant hum is heard. Stronger than internal Microphone.
My second question s.alle MKE 400 User: Is this normal for this micro?
3. External Microphone Beyerdynamic TG-X 80
Mono
Connection via jack cable.
Location: next to the Tripod Tele Prompter, clear view of the speaker, 1m distance
Input sensitivity of the camera to 7.5: when silence no bars visible.
display in the editing program: channel display remains silent about are at -50 dB.
A very quiet but clearly perceptible hum on the master.
It corresponds to the volume when using the internal microphone.
My third question s.alle?
Is it true that when the VX 1000E no hum-free images with external microphones can do?
The hum is naturally so weak that he had always spoken word goes.
But it bothers me enormously!
Antwort von domain:
About jack port, a hum quite often be heard.
Gabs not of the Canon MA-300 XLR - to AV adapter?
XLR to TRS has brought nothing with me, still growling.
Antwort von Bernd E.:
Gabs ... not of the Canon MA-300 XLR - to AV adapter? ... The MA-300's, only brings the user a SonyVX1000 nothing: The contact is on the special Canon Accessory shoe manufactured.
Antwort von Jan Myck:
Hello Jürgen,
I have been working for years with the VX1000, it has an excellent image quality but the Tonmanko all amateur camcorder:
With an unbalanced input supply voltage for the use of amateurs electret.
An interference did you whenever you with power s.der Camera work. If anything, only with Battery filming.
The MKE 400 I do not know, I work with a T415 MKH was completely trouble-free work, however, with 12VTonaderspeisung.
The problem with these amateur connections is that some microphones good fit and others less well. It is a mere adjustment issue.
Why are you working as a sound engineer with no external sound?
This is the most professional and technically cleanest solution.
The VX 100O incidentally, makes only 12 KHz Bit/32 (if you want to record music ...)
Gruß,
Jan
Antwort von hoerspielwerkstatt:
Hi Jan,
thank you for your comment.
I work with the VX1000 only in Battery mode.
The Sennheiser MKE 400 is the successor model of the MKE 300 and seemed actually to an end - pictures in the half distance (about 3-6 m) - very good.
I was pleased synonymous of the first test reports and of course the name "Sennheiser".
The MKH 415 T, I knew not. Once I know it now, it's for my needs a bit expensive.
With the external sound, you have absolutely right.
But my area is Hörspiel and so far as I could all the tasks without synchronization with external devices or to solve.
Although it was synonymous with the flap and then import the two independent tracks in APP 2.0 or already cut into my video recording program, but then the soundtrack should always be adjusted somewhat.
This is for my small video clips too expensive.
I like workarounds synonymous not particularly happy, so I am looking for a solution, the original hinhaut.
Maybe I can even align with equalization.
Yes, the sound quality of the VX1000 is known to me. I have worked with me in the studio with 48 kHz/32 bit floating.
Many greetings

I have the microphone for repair (warranty), where.
Precise measurements have shown that
1. the hum of the ceiling at - 29 dB
and
2. The signal s.zwei posts below shows peaks that are not of sound sources can be.
The first peak ranged from 11,850 Hz to - 1.4 dB in the second to 20850
- 29 dB.
Here a defect is available.
I will then times about my further experiments with the MKE 400 s.SonyVX 1000E report.
Antwort von hoerspielwerkstatt:
So - is the Microphone of the repair back.
The settlement on the firm Thomann was exemplary and the repair by the company Sennheiser was successful.
There was an exchange of the motherboard.
My review has shown that the MKE - 400 - operated by the hot shoe of SonyVX 1000, connected via the stereo mini-jack on the microphone "MIC" - input of your camcorder - no damage - especially not hum - aufweist.
It is a Microphone for the half with a good damping of noise and sharp side, of course, warm image of the voice.
Exactly as I wanted.
