Help!
I have a really bad problem with my newly acquired MiniDV camcorder and PC. Wants films recorded with Firewire cable to transfer of camcorder to PC, it works, unfortunately, not exactly like I imagine a little complicated and is now rewriting this, but I'll try it and see.

- Camcorder is set to "Play"
- If I spool up, play, pause, stop, etc. makes use camcorder is perfectly addressed and I could record file
- But when I first on "Record" or "Automatic Transmission" press my calculator with blue screen crashes
- I have Ulead Video Editor or the original software of camcorder are the same for both products, it would therefore s.Firewire port.

- When I run your camcorder and then press record it works perfectly.

Addition: I moved from Creative (sound card) latest drivers / software for this card we installed.

Hello,
take a different program to use for capturing might be wise.
Scenalyzer or WMM zb. Some Ulead Programs have fairly high system requirements. How are things with you out with gigahertz, Ram etc?
Good for me was broken recently, the Dv interface of the HC 17 and the Firewire cable. But can not be with you because your calculator recognizes the HC 17. The error is more likely in the PC system (Ramverwaltung, CPU speed, etc., or had enough space on the hard drive where would that be captured? Had this problem once with an old version of Ulead.
Simply trying times in quick succession
1.) Play
then
2.) Record
The simple "click-click" at that time helped me. At the first "click" is heard, that starts the camcorder, and the second one sees that the computer records.

To answer 1 I updated my system once more.
