Frage von svendeswan:Hello,
I would like to publish a streaming video on my site, such as rm or something. My question is: Is that all, or must be that a dedicated server?
Thank you and regards,
Sven
Antwort von Wiro:
Hello,
a kind of pseudo-streaming is synonymous with a normal http server possible. Here a certain amount of data will be preloaded on user side, then the playback starts, while loaded in the background, more or less continuously.
Whether that happens smoothly depends on the transfer and of the number of simultaneous server requests. Even the settings of the player to User Page. But it does go principle.

Hi Wiro,
Thanks for the answer. What format is it the best for such an action taken by, and how can I create the dannaus a normal mpg (2)?
Many greetings,
Sven
Antwort von Wiro:
Hello Sven,
I personally use the WMV format for the Web.
To convert MPEG2 to WMV, I use the Canopus ProCoder Express, because there are only a few mouse clicks. If you do not have the PCE, there are probably other tools are synonymous for it.

Gruss Wiro yes, that's right. I have my wmv videos synonymous incorporated into the website so that they will be streamed for most people. But for some it does not work. I am synonymous assumed that it is s.deren settings, get to ask more often synonymous times, but since I do not know exactly what I have to look here and I can make out of nothing to prevent those who need it the video completely erstmal load before it can be played.
So if I give someone nen tipp is what one must switch to so indignant windows installations, that is after a short losgestreamt wmv ladezeit, which is hinterherschleichen my thanks for ever ... :-)

Hello,
So after my first tests, I achieved the following results:
(1) wmv (pseudo) streams with my IE but not in Firefox ... And the Mac does not even tuts
(2) mpg streams in Firefox but not on Mac and IE
(3) is mov converted incorrectly from Xilisoft Video Converter
(4) rm brings RealPlayer (tested on 2 computers) to crash
The size of files is pretty frightening. The film is about 3 minutes long, which has 25mByte mpg, wmv the 24mByte, located at 27MB mov ...
So I have respect to wmv or mpg, the same problem as "CAMWorks"
Hat Tip wern?
Many greetings,
Sven
Antwort von camworks:
mpg was with me yet never streamed, only wmv.

The longest SD video on my site is WMV-packed and with a duration of 2:35 (m: ss) just under 9.5 MB big.
Antwort von camworks:
indeed depends on the resolution: I change depending on the clip length of full x on 320 240.
Antwort von svendeswan:
Yes, that's probably true, with the compression :-)
However, I know the Canopus ProCoder Express is not there something where I
concerning Setting compression could.
The data in the right pane, change the size only slightly, even if I do all on the smallest values set ....
There's another special tool or am I just too stupid ...
Many greetings,
Sven
Antwort von Markus:
There's another special tool ...? Please go to the Windows Media Encoder. Is easy to use and delivers high-quality results.
Antwort von camworks:
yes but not nearly comparable with the ProCoder.
Antwort von Wiro:
I know the Canopus ProCoder Express is not there times where I could adjust that with respect to compression For beginners and the inexperienced Procoder Express (PCE), but a child's foolproof, and click-by-click procedure offers.
1. Select Window: your MPEG2 file
2. Window, click on: Use the Wizard
3. Window, click on: Web video
4. Window, click on: Windows Media
5. Windows: Click Music or speech, depending on
6. Window, click on Web Server
7. Windows: Click on broadcast media (512 kbit)
8. Select a window: location for the new file
9. Window fly: In short, if everything is right (yes, it's true)
Convert - click Finish.
