Frage von pete1234:Evenin
Work me just in time lapse recordings with individual photos.
Have a ND filter that has 3 negative screens to take photographs with a long exposure time.
Can my 550D still determine the exposure time still correct or if the sensor / software problem with the dark?
Will shoot in Av mode (I flicker in the handle).
I might try it, but unfortunately it is already dark.
Did any experience with it?
Antwort von B.DeKid:
I understand currently nich so really what you want to achieve this - the exposure correction would anyway only + / - 2
I would suggest the M mode.

Antwort von pete1234:
True, but the M-mode does not consider exposure compensation.
Will know if an ND filter this into account.
Antwort von B.DeKid:
Noe Not that I know now.
Have you no external light meter? So you could test it again.

Antwort von Bernd E.:
... Can my 550D to determine the exposure time still right ... The automatic exposure of the camera reacts to the incident light, just no preference whether with or without ND filters. Problems, there would be only when the shutter speed would be so long that it exceeds the range in which can control the camera. Where this limit, should lead to the Instructions, but with a ND filter that absorbs light only three steps, the do not occur in practice, rather - at least not as long as you are photographing in daylight.
Antwort von pete1234:
No, I do not have a meter.
Antwort von pete1234:
My "problem" occurs so on until there is a ND filter from -10?
(Because I'm going to buy soon)
and then I shoot the M-mode ...
Antwort von Bernd E.:
So general we can say this, but the problem always occurs when you wegfilterst so much light that the necessary shutter speed is longer than the camera can adjust. However, the 550D surely have a "B" setting, with which you - then of course no automatic exposure - synonymous able to use very long times.
Antwort von pete1234:
No, have not to go over the 30s exposure time.
Because to me is another question, why has this 30s limit for years a guideline?
once had a Nikon F801 and could identify synonymous "only" 30 seconds exposure time. If I take an appropriate ND filter, I can calculate synonymous over 2min exposure, why can not today's cameras?
Antwort von B.DeKid:
You can with the 550D synonymous containing only 5 min exposure in M mode so nothing or shutter priority etc
Need to use Remote control with bulb then ne timer or lock button

Antwort von pete1234:
Is clear, but is still the appropriate exposure time displayed.
Not very ..
Antwort von B.DeKid:
You will then be displayed on the rear display NEN Countdown (Clock)
Using "GutemGefuehl" you will then estimate, from the time and then examine the image.
I must Atomgesetz the shooting at night or even ND (welding glass) filter photos.
