Frage von TechnoFeather:Hi folks,
I have three video tracks in AU which are successively positioned. About this video tracks, I have a logo video track, which unfortunately is largely made of a transparent surface. In addition, I have no effects, no big keyframe animation (Only opacity fade ins and outs) and no sound is synonymous.
The comp time: 5min
Time to render: 4 hours!
That's can not be true, right? What the problem may lie?
Thank you ever taken your help ...
Antwort von Jörg:
As you zero information on the comp size, doing export format used, RAM, etc., the time seems realistic.
Antwort von TechnoFeather:
Kompgröße: DV PAL - 25fps progressive
Video Footage: PAL 1:1 everything except for a final scene that is skalliert down to 83%.
Output Format: MPEG2 - VBR 1-pass with 2-5-9 Mbps (Min / target / Max)
Specifications of the workstation:
Dual Xeon Quad 8x2.67GHz with 12GB of RAM and Quadro FX 1800 - OS: Vista 64bit
Antwort von TechnoFeather:
Sry for double post, but now I have a similar scene takes scarce and AE 2 sec. per frame!
Again, no effects, PAL, etc. .. CPU usage fluctuates between 1 and 3% saturated, 6GB total will consume, so are still round 6GB free. If it renders only text is displayed as desired, but if Videoseq. occur, breaks the performance of a phenomenally.
How can there still be the bottleneck? Is there perhaps a kind of benchmark for AE? Completely forgotten: Have Incidentally AE CS4.
Antwort von TiMovie:
A B does not go try!
I would say simply and easily, AE is a COMP program and not mpeg2 encoder - but export it in DV Pal and let it with a dedicated program ala Premiere and co. encode in MPEG2!
Lösst Although the problem is not - but almost seems logical!
Might help?

I just found it: Despite Gigabit Network AE is well wicked problems so that the videos were still on our server. Have the sat. Comp stored locally, and now he runs into 6min. through. Really needs to understand that not, but okay ...
