I hope someone can help me here.
In the car of my friend was broken into and all we have is this surveillance video that we can not play.
Send it in Appendix with, maybe someone knows what or what codec you can watch it or with what program you can convert it into a "normal" video.

Unfortunately, no other format.
The video was made of a surveillance camera in a parking garage in Vienna. The video we have (and police) will then send an e-mail. Since the police show no interest, I wanted herrausholen a few photos from the video.
But all the infos refer to the mpeg-4 codec, as of "Wiro said" already, and so should run everything.
But it does not.
Does anyone in the video? What am I doing wrong?
For more tips I should be very grateful.

I had suspected that this is the video of a special monitoring system. I would not be surprised if the Manufacturer has developed its own compression to MPEG4 format.
On the calculator, where I currently sit, I can not check the file. The do not even know anything with the file extension "zip start. ;-)

Virtual Dub do not play the video synonymous, despite codec. The video has probably saved somehow RGB, YUV no.
Try dioch times, whether it goes with another image program.

The guy is not stuff into the garage and then walked with the backpack of my friend and the original packaging printer in the hand out again. In the backpack was the laptop and even some technical stuff.
But it's true - he had not time to come quickly out of the garage.
Has really paid off for him, namely, everything was brand new!
