For Video8 and Hi8 tapes, I have such a device has been in use for many years and the tapes do not show any wear it.

They are very expensive. But take better picture than conventional tapes? I take for my 180th Pana Are the linear cassettes or Pro? And what would you imagine s.meiner buy?

I use the same tapes. Sony tapes have had XM in my 1 and VX 1000 problems. There was tape out again and salad or kinks in the tape. Since I use the Panasonic tapes, I do not happen again and I have been many recorded tapes.
I doubt your statement that the tapes allow for better pictures, because the recording is done digitally so yes as ones and zeros. That the tapes but reliable, at least in my case, I can confirm. With my new SonyFX 1 is only a recorded tape. Since it can not yet say much. But there were no problems so far. The only important thing is that it does not start, the mix tapes. gruß cj Yes, I did before my problems with the Sony tapes changed even more, have not so on the band respected places. That is different now. The manufacturer sometimes use different belt types with a variety of different grinding and abrasion effects are.
