Frage von Valentino:Hello,
I've been playing for some time with the idea lend me a XL H1 for one to two days and wanted to know whether I can play the recorded cassettes on a synonymous HC1? I'm shooting in 1080i (50f), because of the 25f mode, not even the HDV standard equivalent.

Hi Tino,
there's another aspect:
Antwort von Valentino:
So, at first thanks Mark.
What amazes me, even the DV, which is required to assess itself for 10 years is not abgespielbar on other devices. Since Canon will likely need to have some build in some kind of Schutzfuktion. I'll just try to record the times HDV stream immediately of the XL 1H or HC1 to manage me with a Firestore.

Hi, I'm filming on the XL-H1, my tapes can easily be played on the SonyFX1/Z1! What's the problem be?
HDV is a standard, why should it not go with others?
Incidentally, I am delivering after the World Cup my XL-H1 again favorable.

What's the problem be? HDV is a standard, why should it not go with others? This is based on experience. Of course, it
should work, a computer - or HDV tape on a different play than the receiving device. Only that in practice, just not always so smoothly.

The answer is the last video films (and I quote):
With the 4-channel sound, and its unsurpassed exceptional position among the camcorders, Canon has, however, then a standard problem ... .
HDV has by definition, it is only with sound channels m2 with mpeg1 compression. Overcomes these limitations in enggesetzten Canon XL H1 and stores the sound of all 4 channels in PMEG 2Format. That sounds prinzipiel friendly, will lead in practice, but then cause problems if the tape recording of another is not read, substandard HDV device.
So much for that: "Where will it be the problem? HDV is a standard, why should it not go with another?"
Antwort von Jan:
Exactly VAD had made a few months ago a test, therefore, synonymous.
HD 2 (eg Sony HDV) use the entire track area for MPEG recording, Canon XL H 1 has locked a portion of the track width for audio "- keyword 4 channel sound with JVC is it exactly, so are now synonymous with 4-channel sound to expect a JVC HDV / possible.
Here again, the results of VAD:
JVC HD does not play 1080i material of Sony / Canon
Canon does not play material from JVC
JVC Sonyspielt material 720 P / 30 frames off, but not a 720 P / 25 / 24
Sonyspielt no HDV Canon XL H 1 starting material.
Synonymous problems because perhaps there is compressed JVC HD 1 6-in Long GOP frame is HD 2 with a 12er Long GOP.
Although the question is what was included in Sound Mode, XL H yes 1kann
16-bit 48 kHz 2 channels, 12 bit 32kHz - 4 channels, HD MPEG-1 Layer 2 to 2 channel and MPEG 2 Layer 2 to 4 channels, this was taken as nothing was said, sometimes tipe HDV MPEG 2 Layer 2 -- 4 channel.

That with the audio tracks but is VERY funny, because:
Two tapes the same mode (EXACT) with Canon XH-A1 was added, one does not run in the SonyZ1 the other!
What now - has the Canon despite of the same mode, one audio track and not even released? hardly .... or does the Canon as a random mode? ;))
Antwort von r.p.television:
So I film with my XL H1 only in the two-track sound mode. I can not play the tapes without problems on my Sony recorder.
I have only two tapes (of an estimated 100), s.denen bodies are, where dropouts occur, which then is error on the XL H1.

VAD was referring to the camera as a player.
