Teleconverters do not generally make much sense. On the same result you get when you make a section of the original footage and maybe a little sharpen.
Appends to the fact that is at the telephoto zoom lenses anyway still relatively weak. It grows as it were from a wide angle image is only a small part as if through a microscope and recorded much of the looks synonymous accordingly. With a telephoto converter, you just magnify this unsightly area (usually with enormous CA), but additionally with all optical Unzulänglichkleiten of each converter.
Not even with fixed focal length telephoto converter makes perfect sense. I've never seen photos, with tele-converter would have been better as an enlargement of the original recording.
In the wide-angle converter is slightly different, because seem more bearable by the compression, the sharpness and contrast ratios.

If you have a Camera with Interchangeable Lens, you clamp on it a photo lens, the image circle is correspondingly greater. Then you get little money for a super-telephoto.

EX1 has no lens.
but the tip with the cut out is good, especially since I spend anyway on rotation and HDV to SD .. there is much room!
