No activation requirement? I use this prog for about 4 weeks and the previous versions of famous online activation has been reported before a video editing ever really started.
A few weaknesses gibts synonymous: If a file has been moved or deleted, the program at the next time: Where is the file xyz? Now PE7 only ask: Where is the File ... without specifying which file is meant.
The creation of my titles is more complicated than ever.
The bottom line, I'm not thrilled.

The installation broke me without comment. The Windows Installer logs in a window, with the startup options he wants to be called.
In a subdirectory of the installation can I find a setup.exe. That I could but only the English version. The choice of the German language did not affect the installation result.
Approx. 5 hours of video recorded at 2 hours together cut. Then I wanted to export it as AVI. That was not. Exports fell to <2 GB from. Although I am all drives formatted as NTFS did.
The only workaround was to me, the project archive. So I got the cut as a result of 448 AVI files from this software.
For HDV is my 2.5 GHz dual-core laptop too slow. APE 7 deals almost only with himself, once a bit of HD material in the timeline is.
Still any questions?
