I have the HC1 and am very satisfied with it. The picture quality is super. I had no problems synonymous with the alleged "comic book look" when panning (is supposed synonymous only with fast pans occur and who makes the will).
For capturing, I take HDVSplit because I can split scenes so that the same, it is also freeware.
One can, incidentally synonymous in DV capturing, the integrated converter of the HC1 I find this very compelling.
The HC1 is filming 50 frames inter lanced. Point. A special shooting mode does not exist.
