I had my first Project in Final Cut Pro (5.1.4) and created the following problem.

To view the film (approx. 36 min), which I previously added 8 Chapter marks in iDVD to burn, I exported this as a "Quick Time movie ..." with the options: Current Preferences (here HDV - 1080i50), audio and video, chapter markers as independent film secure.

In control (with QT 7.3.0.) This 6.83 GB file, I found that picture and sound no longer play synchronously. I have the impression that the difference is greater with increasing playing time and ends with an estimated Tonverzögerung of 5-10 frames. In Final Cut Pro project, this phenomenon does not occur.

Where is my mistake, what's better?

Why do not you create via the Compressor MPEG-2 directly from Final Cut Pro out which you then just put s.DVD Studio Pro? iDVD is for me, children's software and I would suspect there s.ehesten error. Here, it seems but a bug in the Quicktime export to. Therefore, try my way.

You could export the movie as synonymous with the VLC player to open, to see whether synonymous there is the sound asynchronously.

Many small errors of this nature can happen in Final Cut Pro creep. Especially when nesting sequences at the conclusion of the project. Here one must be absolutely sure that the two functions Toggle right above the timeline, "Connected Choice" and "snap" is enabled (green) are. The sub-sequences remain synchronously, while what you strongly ausskalierter timeline with the "master" sequence of gross motor damage, you may then realize until too late.

Incidentally create DVD Studio Pro from the "independent film" an HD-DVD, you with the Apple DVD player on your calculator then DVI s.einen projector or DLP projector can output. That was when I remember what you had planned.

For an SD-DVD with 36 minutes, I would edit the default and with 8 or 8.5 Mbit / s CBR store. CBR brings this data no deterioration compared to VBR and halved at least Codierzeit. Anyway Compressor is very fast. For example, the sound of Dolby Digital.

For an HD-DVD change nothing. DSP adjusts the sound to auto, once you have the Project with "Finish" terminate a matter of a few Minütchen.

Quality of raw materials: WB - what is it? 95% INSIDE, with two pages of daylight, neon light of above, bulb s.der wall, halogen s.Buffet and a temporary light head (probably to Battery empty). Had individual color filters to create virtually all the clips, probably he has so long rendered.

I have the solution you still owe.

Now it works. Final Cut Pro project was synchronously and with chapter markers successfully s.iDVD over and burned.

Here's how (the unsuccessful many intermediate steps and errors, I will spare you):

File / export / using QT conversion ...
Format: QT movie / Options ...
Compression ...
Compression: Apple Intermediate Codec (in my understanding of iDVD uncompressed and readable)
Movement, Keyframes: "All" (presumably not thereby Tonversatz)
Compressor, quality: "Optimal"

Chapter markers are transferred with unquestioned and of iDVD after importing recognized.

Uncompressed afaik is synonymous not only something aufgeschwämmt. I've never used Intermediate Codec, with me as always funzt HDV HDV, although I am an iMac with a dual core lame calculator than you did when the movie effects and many have color, it may be better to enter it into Apple ProRes to render (Preferences).

Maybe this helps you cheat sheet of a proven workflow to "induction", and you just try it with a normal DVD:

s.Capturen with Final Cut Pro HDV.
b) cutting than HDV.
c) Export with Compressor; Presets "For DVD".
d) Import of Picture (dingens.m2v) and Sound (dingens.DolbyDigital2.0) in the DSP. The two files in the timeline drag.
c) addition of menus (eg Photoshop), buttons (in short interest / demand), slide shows and similar Tinnef.
d) free DVD with "simulator" (tool bar).
e) DVD burn.

Let's be honest: This sounds more complicated than iDVD?

Hello Axel,

I have your suggestion raised synonymous, and compressor is used. Neither HDV yet *. m2v was imported into iDVD.

The error was synonymous not s.der first chapter mark. In another failure, I had removed all the chapter marks. The Tonversatz was still available to the same extent.

The secret lies in my opinion is that I am at the "normal" QT export does not affect the keyframe intervals have.
