which corresponds to the German version of the AE-layer mode "overlay" in the English version? I give an effect so try, but have no clue how the thing in the German translation is called ... :-)

If you have the CS3:
AFX with "-L EN", then everything is in English. Hift to replicate any of tutorials:)
