Hello,
a point s.jeweiligen end of the sentence would significantly increase the readability and comprehensibility of your contribution. ;-)
To burn longer videos on a DVD, you must reduce the data rate (Mbps). Whether and how that works in Ulead VideoStudio, but I do not know. The But you could easily look in the help or the manual.
PS: A blank DVD is not 4.5 GB, but 4.3.

Due to the binary number system ...

So no preference whether you can now set the data rate when encoding: But would on a 4.3 GB disc, I synonymous with high quality encoders, not more than 1 hour to 1.5 hours to pack on it like - otherwise the video quality is rather poor.
One can calculate the bitrate around with computers, which are found on the web. There are even some that you can download itself - approximately Powerbit.

Which image quality resulting from low data rate, is highly dependent of the material to be compressed. In plays with mostly standing Camera example, one can reduce the data rate without having a negative impact will be visible immediately.
To move the image content, the images are strong and also very rich in detail, it has a higher compression clearly faster.
With the Matrox hardware encoder I look at the average video footage to 5 Mbit / s VBR usually no significant deterioration of the image. If the compressed Dolby Digital sound, fit, slightly more than 110 minutes on a single-layer DVD.

I work with the MPEG encoder of MainConcept.
(bin MC-fan, as far as codecs)
Less than 4.5 Mb / s, however, synonymous with which it has no purpose.
Then you can directly synonymous to a VHS tape (;-)) spend
