Final Cut Pro and its settings ...
So, the following problem.
I will of an HDV Camera (SonyHDR Fx1) material on i-konvert (ie in DP) with FCPro record studio. Everything is set correctly:
Recording: DV Pal 48 kHz Anamorphic
Control Device: Sony HDV Firewire (Firewire've synonymous with basic, Pal and Sony HDV 1080i50 FireWire tried.)
Do I make apple-8, the message appears:
'To capture HDV material, the preferences must be configured for both the recording as synonymous, the control device for HDV. If you want to include in another format, none of these settings can be configured for HDV '
I have stopped, but NOTHING for HDV. Capture, I can not, because the Aufnamhefenster not even after this message icon appears.
The camera spends synonymous DV, I-Convert HDV - DV aktviert.
somebody has an idea? So far, it always went. And I have not adjusted.

A friend from our video club had this problem with Final Cut Pro HD 4.5 and the FX1 - also the first time successfully after a few gecaptureten cassette. The solution seemed to be to reset the FX1 to the factory settings. If I remember correctly that was a small pen tip-activatable hole somewhere s.oder fold under the viewfinder. Try it out and tell whether `s worked.

Now, I have selected under 'Easy Setup' DV-PAL. Capture, then goes synonymous instrument control. But Final Cut Pro quit when the recording says:
'Final Cut Pro can not read the recorded film ...'

Why not? The camera is still out on iKonvert in DV.

I recorded and HDV output via i konvert of the camera as a DV.
Strangely, I can now capture s.meinem iBook. Same settings, I have a hidden or overlooked.
On G5 s.dem not (there funzt) depend plates firewire and USB 2 plates, and a Formac DV AV Converter.
I drag the camera but not through, but it did depend s.front-firewire interface - I always make s.dem

Do you have any i Convert activated during the firewire cable was plugged? This does not work. Most trusted names, it usually works when you turn on the camera and connects before starting the G5.
All settings have to anamorphic to DV NTSC 48 kHz, or be changed Firewire PAL. Taking audio / video settings before the Log and Capture dialog appears. Works beautifully here on a G5.
In the G5, you should loop through the camera to hang behind that is the external FW disk. The separate FW ports on the G5 hang s.selben bus.
