For windows, it is not no preference whether 32bit or 64bit (as opposed to osx), there are big differences, which mainly serve the security. the 32bit version has many of these yet, so the compatibility is EBSS. and 32bit programs do not have to run 64bit.

On Windows XP64 running current Adobe products. That can not adapt to Vista, but as far as I am aware refer to the problems with the 64-bit versions of Windows tend to firewall, virus scanner and in the system intrusive Programs.
