I want a higher performance for SD DV editing. I was thinking s.Video card.
What video card for APP2 in conjunction with a Fujitsu Siemens Celsius V workstation is recommended? Reviews??
What makes the cut card exactly? Helps when rendering?
Has the general advantages of the workstation, or should I invest differently (more RAM etc)?
I will cut smoother and shorter calculation times.
Can someone help me there? Thank you

Would never invest in a video card, since this is only a single program, and thus uses the Manufacturer. It is preferable to invest in my opinion, the new PC technology (Conroe as compared to P4 3GHz by more than
a factor of 2 faster when rendering of HDV material with P-Pro 2.0!) That uses all programs!

I know too little about the Matrox. But with the Canopus NX with the APP 2 (not do) what it's primarily about the high quality signal processing, and the output - especially of HDV - over component s.einem preview monitor.
For shorter calculation times, the Canopus NX would perhaps help gar nix - since Bruno has right of course, is to be primarily the processing power of interest. And the new Conroe processor seems completely brings to first tests in the video meeting.
But wiegesagt, perhaps with the Matrox things differently.

Since I have my capture card (Pinnacle expanded dv 200), the system is running with Premiere finally stable.
I use since 2 years no longer capture card and am therefore fully satisfied.
Capture card for standard DV - never again!

It should be no problems - only the potential is the 64-bit processor probably only partially exploited.

There are no problems if ma 64-bit processors with 32bit programs running.
