I will zunehmenst more and more frustrated when I rummage through the topic.
I thought I buy myself time just a DV Cam s.PC s.and they finally make me a nice menu and a few screens and then have a purely Looking and fun and.
So now I'm back, "back to reallity" and understand that it is not quite so simple. Or. If I want good quality is not so simple.
Now to my question:
I have a 70GB hard drive and would like to expand. As my Firewire 400 to stream directly to hard out of the camera to the new drive connected with firewire, or are there problems?
If the speed is sufficient?

FireWire 400 offers a data rate of delivery of 400 Mbps, a digital camcorder, but only 25 Mbit / s. By how many camcorders you want to capture the same time? ;-)

A hard drive for the video section should have 8MB cache. And stay at least the 25 MB / s write.
