Hello!
I have a video of a party with my camera of Canon (Model DC 10/20) done and now I have my video on this little stupid but quite useful DVD-R disc (which can be recorded on my camera a look) but bekomm it is not on the PC. The software of Sonic My DVD, or like the disc (which is in the video) of the video via the USB cable but then invite stürstz s.ende the program. My question, since if I use the DVD in my drive nothing happens unpack and I not access it, how can I get the video on my PC so I can edit it .. About the DVD drive or DVD on the video camera.

and Firewire for video This is true only for DV camcorders, but Niko is one of those unspeakable DVD camcorders purchased. Very bad choice if you edit video recordings wishes!

Even if it could be somewhat cumbersome lege
the DVD into a DVD player (not in the drive of your PC)
and connect the player with the PC using DV cable.
And try it with either of the Windos Movie Maker
or any other program bringing you to the DV
interface can be accessed.

read. That was the classic: A Google search with the word "CAT DVD 2115". In one of the price search engines and online I found a detailed list with connections, which mostly with "no" were marked.

It is with some certainty s.deinem PC. 2 times I had no problems with the included Roxio software to import the movies.
It is sometimes ne time ago, I know the PC Mindestaustattung for Roxio in relation to the DC 10 is not from the head. Some companies require Win 2000 / XP, sometimes the Service Pack 2, or like the USB 2.0 port. Upgraded USB 2.0 interfaces can be synonymous trouble.
Use another program in the Roxio software is only a few fading effects and editing possibilities. Ulead VideoStudio 10 or Magix 2007 would be a tip, synonymous here with no problems by directly using the Import option synonymous but without a USB drive or via the PC of the hard drive (tip).

Of course there is the DVD recorder (with hard drive) with DV Out. We have one in the club and use it as a hard disk recorder for recording of lectures and teachings. He was purchased by long time without changing tapes to record. Is of course a crutch, as recorded in Mpeg2 format and will be followed when importing via firewire in eg again as Avid Xpress DV File (omfi) is created.
But it works in practice, very good (including the preview monitor) and ranges of the image quality for our rights completely.

If the camera actually the DVD-Rs can not finalize, so you need a program like
