Frage von gaby.schupp:Hello,
I would like my Of SonyDCR-PC120E videos via USB cable to the PC.
Unfortunately, the camcorder is not recognized in Device Manager appears he did not and Win Movie Maker, the device can not find synonymous.
I hope there's a good tip, so I get all the tapes over to play.
Thank you love and greetings,
Gaby

I hope there's a good tip, so I get all the tapes can play on ... The offer: do not forget the appropriate USB cable and connect the camera with the PC via a Firewire cable. Then it should be synonymous with the dubbing fold - unless, Vista makes problems again ...

Thank you Bernd, my laptop, however, has no Firewire interface, which I then have to retrofit.
USB is generally ungegnet for video import?
Thanks and regards,
Gaby

... Is generally USB ungegnet for video import? In theory, no, practically almost ;-) Only the high-speed version of USB 2 cope with the dubbing costs data, and very few camcorders have this interface. If this hurdle is still the software problem: Via USB camcorder works so usually only with the enclosed software together - with Firewire on the other hand, you can use the editing program of your choice.

... The good news is that you have the firewire card for your laptop as a PCMCIA card for really little money (<20 Öken) get. Look at ATELCO which can be found almost everywhere in D and the prices are quite fair. One cable was your camera, perhaps even at, if not, because saving is not appropriate. Cheap cables sometimes have made times very inaccurate, ie, in any connection with the quasi reingekloppt be the hammer and do the plug connection is not particularly well ...
